This Biorhythm Applet is written in Java2 (1.4). This version is not supported by the Virtual Machine of popular
web browsers, but require the appropriate JRE plugin to be installed (Java Runtime Environment 1.4.x).
In case the Applet does not start, and all you see is a grey rectangle, this plugin is missing.
You can read more about this here.
The JRE can be downloaded here.
Biorhythms were discovered about 100 years ago, by Doctor Wilhelm Fliess (Emotional and Physical cycles) and professor Alfred Telscher (Intellectual cycle). Their origin is always the day of your birth, and as their period differs (23, 28 & 33 days, respectively), you will experience periods where you feel "low" or "high" in all these three aspects. Knowing about this enable you to plan, and possibly avoid important decisions on critical dates. Interestingly, the most critical days are the zero-crossings, which is where the slope of the curves (equals the rate of change) is at its maximum. A triple zero-crossing day would be a good day to stay in bed. To make life easier, this Applet marks these days with a red circle. Certainly, it is up to you how much importance you want to place on this. But it is always good to have an excuse when you have had a really lousy day!
